Case Study 1: Health & Social Care Provider

IThe Situation

A growing health and social care organization was using Microsoft 365, but their email was still hosted on a third-party platform. Two vendors, two management interfaces, fragmented security. When they contacted me, they needed an email migration.

What I Found

Once I started reviewing their setup, it became clear the real problem wasn't the migration. Their secure score was low. They had security gaps—weak configuration, missing protections, and no visibility into what was happening across their systems.

What Changed

I migrated all 9 mailboxes from their old host to Microsoft 365. But more importantly, I recommended upgrading to Microsoft 365 Business Premium, which gave me access to better security controls.

Once implemented, their secure score improved from 41% to 91%. Everything—email, files, collaboration, security—was now centralized under one platform. They could cancel their third-party email hosting and simplify their entire operation.

Today

They're working toward Cyber Essentials certification and are on our Complete tier for ongoing management and support. When they need something fixed or reviewed, they know exactly who to call and how quickly they'll get an answer.

Case Study 2: Professional Services Firm

The Situation

A legal firm had been using Microsoft 365 for years without major issues. They contacted me about updating their centralized email signature system—a small technical task.

What I Found

While I was in their environment, I ran a security review. Their secure score was very low. They had configuration gaps, missing email protections, and no real visibility into threats.

More importantly: a few months later, one of their clients was hit by a phishing attack. The attackers used that compromise to send phishing emails to the law firm—emails designed to look like they came from that client. Because of the improved email security measures I'd put in place, those emails never made it to the team's inboxes.

What Changed

I upgraded their Microsoft 365 to Business Premium, configured their email security properly, and implemented admin governance controls. Their secure score improved to 81%.

Today

They feel far more cyber secure and have someone on hand they can rely on to get things done quickly. They're on our Protected tier and know they can call for advice or support whenever they need it.
